Comic Book Reviews – Superior Foes of Spider-Man #12 and Punisher #6

Superior Foes of Spider-Man #12

Writer: Nick Spencer

Artist: Steve Lieber

Color Artist: Rachelle Rosenberg

After a lull the Superior Foes of Spider-Man are back in full force! So much happens in this issue! How does the team react to being betrayed by Boomerang? Hydro-Man: Friend or Foe? Who ends up with the painting of Dr. Doom? And why is Hammerhead butting his head into all this drama? So many questions and they are all answered!

In this issue the Sinister Six grows (even though there are index1only 5 of them). Who makes the cut, it may surprise you! One of the things I love most about this book is the cutaway scenes which happen in this issue while Boomerang is telling his team how Chameleon “replaced” him. The art is more cartoony and you can’t help but chuckle at how ridiculous Boomerang is.

I always look forward to this book. The writing and art team for this book are excellent, Nick Spencer does an awesome job writing these guys and Steve Lieber does just as well drawing them. They’ve genuinely made me care about this ragtag group of villains. This book is the highlight of my week when it comes out. It’s a funny read and sometimes it’s just plain fun to root for the bad guys, right?

Rating 7 (Out of 7) – Fantastic from start to finish. If you aren’t reading this series, you are definitely missing out.
