Nintendo’s e3 Conference Leak
e3 pre-season is in full-swing, and along with hopes and speculation of what to expect, we also get a lot of leaks.
This morning, we were lucky enough to receive an early draft of the Nintendo e3 press conference, and while The Nerds would never ruin any surprises, we thought it best to share this one little segment with you.
This takes place approximately 20 minutes or so into the press conference.
Reggie Fils-Aime: For the past several years, Nintendo has come to this stage with truly innovative software such as Wii Sports, Wii Fit and Wii Music. Each year, we debut such amazing technology we have company executives come up to the stage to demo it and engage in some witty banter. But this isn’t about us, this is about the gamer. The gamer who before the Wii was around to pick up a controller. The gamer who hadn’t touched a game since the original Super Mario Brothers on the NES. The gamer who always wanted to try but found the controller too complex.
*Break for applause*
Reggie Fils-Aime: This is why today we are happy to officially reveal, Wii Party. A game like so many before it, but different in key ways. Now I would sit up here and tell you why this game is awesome. I could have Iwata-san and Cammie come out here and help me demo the game, but like I said this is about the gamer so I will need volunteers from the audience.
*Reggie begins to scan the audience for volunteers*
Reggie: The lady breast-feeding in row 3! The elderly gentleman who is taking a nap in the back! That four-year old kid right there! And we need someone who looks like they have never played a video game before… someone from the IGN staff!
