THE CHALLENGER!
In the Green Corner, a song that has been around since 1944, and maybe one of the most timeless Christmas Classics! We have the Nat Cole King version of The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire).
Nat Cole King’s version was recorded in 1961 and is generally regarded as the official version of this historic Christmas song. It is said that this song was written in the summer sitting by a camp fire which is why it begins with chestnuts roasting on it open fire. A lot of credit must be given to a song that is about Christmas that was actually written in the summer. Regardless this song will be around for generations!
