007 Days of Nov: Day 8

Winner is of course Operation Grand Slam from Goldfinger. I mean it really is one of the more grounded, if unlikely, plots in the Bond franchise. Auric Goldfinger plans to corrupt the gold depository at Fort Knox so that his own stake is worth a lot more. Really, that’s about it. Pretty simple plan. Clear, concise and a logical conclusion (makes him richer!)

Now we shall turn it over to Mr. Wolfwood to see his pick:

The best plot I can remember is from the movie “Goldfinger”. Goldfinger’s plot involved irradiating the US gold supply in Fort Knox, making his own supply of gold worth infinitely more than it is. The use of Pussy Galore’s Flying Circus to disperse a nerve agent over the guards was a particular point of genius. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for Goldfinger in the end.

I believe this is the first time, that Mr. Wolfwood and myself have had the same pick so there you go. Goldfinger had the most ingenious plot in the franchise’s history. And it took 3 movies! What has everyone else been doing?
