With the release of Super Mario Maker yesterday, of course Flashback Saturday morning would be dedicated to everyone’s favorite plumber.

While Mario has starred in a trio of animated series, we didn’t just want to pick an episode at random. Instead, we picked an episode that ran with the crazy concept of Super Mario Maker before it was a thing. We are of course speaking of “Super Koopa,” which saw the King of the Koopas being able to access all manners of Mario and Luigi’s power-ups. We won’t say much more, watch for yourself…
