I really like the way Battleworld is set up with borders and barons and baronesses, it creates an interesting dynamic among our heroes and villains that I never thought I would see. The cast of characters has great chemistry and it is about time Marvel decided to do an all-female Avengers book. And I like that within the aforementioned chemistry, there are certain characters that get along and others that do not and it all seems very natural. It is great to see characters like Nico Minoru and America Chavez take center stage.

The artwork is beautiful. Jorge Molina does a lovely job with the ladies, and the environment; Arcadia actually looks like a wonderful place. I have to be honest, I am a little bummed Spider-Woman is not in her new costume. But ultimately I like the variety of costumes with such a ragtag team. The Thors that appear in this issue are also really cool to see, it seems like every hero we know is worthy in some other dead universe. That is an interesting concept that individuals like Sam Wilson are worthy, I hope to see more. The colors in this issue are beautiful; the two page spread on pages 2 and 3 is absolutely breathtaking. I cannot wait to see more of this!

Overall I really think this series is worth checking out, it has a lot of potential. The characters are written well, I’m still a little off put by Stephen Strange, but he was with Dr. Doom when everything went down. He is the only one who seems extremely out of character, but at least there is a reason. The issue has a nice combo with the great art and writing and an excellent cast of characters at their disposal. Plus this is one of the series that Marvel confirmed will continue after Secret Wars is over, which is definitely something to look forward to!
