The Adventures of Superboy Pilot

We noted this week, we would focus on various live-action comic book shows, and today we wanted to share with you a show that didn’t make it to the air.

After the success of the Adventures of Superman show (With George Reeves), the network were pitched a show that would focus on a younger Superman… a Superboy if you would. While the show was never picked up, it is fun to check out what could have been.

And like all ideas, good or bad, this one made a return nearly 30 years later. With the success of the Christopher Reeve’s Superman series, networks did a spin-off series focusing on Superboy, and this ran for several years. Fans, eventually got their Superboy show.
