Nerds on the Rocks 149: The Resident Evil of Silent Hill
Just in time for the greatest holiday of them all, Nerds on the Rocks looks to raise some frights as we talk about video game making the jump to movies in the horror genre. One of the most prolific genres to crossover as we’ve gotten 5 live-action Resident Evil movies, 2 animated ones, 2 Silent Hill films, 2 animated Dead Space movies, 2 House of the Dead, 2 Bloodrayne and Doom! And that’s just to name the ones with big names attached. We run through these series with a focus on the Resident Evil movies while also debating why is it horror games are so enticing to turn into movies, and which franchises we would love Hollywood to tackle.
