TV is Back for the Week of September 17th, 2017

In the era of “peak” television, TV shows are never really off-season. We have great shows all throughout the year, but that doesn’t mean that the fall premiere season isn’t still considered the time to drop your new and returning shows. Over the next few weeks, we will document all upcoming shows debuting during the week and what we are looking forward to.

Sunday 9.17.17

Vice Principals (HBO) – One of the best new comedies of last season returns and seems like season 2 will deal with the mystery of the shooting that ended the last season.

Wednesday 9.20.17

The Good Place (NBC) – A show you just want to gush about, but you know revealing too much ruins the surprise of season 1. Just know if you haven’t seen season 1, you’re in for a treat. And if you have season 1, much like me, you are probably wondering how the hell do you top that?

Thursday 9.21.17

Gotham (FOX) – Considered by this humble writer as the best comic book series on TV, Gotham has continued to up the insanity each season while carving out its own legacy as part of the Bat-franchise. The introduction of the Scarecrow and Bruce beginning his journey to Batman are just a few of the things to look forward to in season 4.

The Orville (FOX) – The show has already premiered, but will be moving to its proper time slot this week.

Friday 9.24.17

Fuller House (Netflix) – The family that hugs and dances way too much is back for a 3rd season. DJ’s love-life gets a bit more complicated as Steve is set for a destination wedding, but are they meant to be?

It’s not the most packed week, but some great shows are returning. What has got your eye?
