To enter, all you have to do is name your favorite Mario game and a brief reason why in the comments section. That’s it and your done.

The contest will run until September 14th at 12pm EST, which a winner will be announced shortly afterwards.

I’ll have to go with the original Mario Bros. The reason is that it was the first game I had ever played.

    Super Mario World!

Mario, Luigi, Bowser and the introduction of Yoshi 🙂 What more could you possibly want. Finest Mario game EVER in my opinion with a nice little bonus if you complete the special world and all exits ^_^

Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario for totally blowing my mind and showing that Mario is more than a one trick pony.

Super Mario 64 had the perk of being one of the first fantastic 3D platformers (if you see it, you can go to it), but Super Mario Galaxy has been the pinnacle of pure fun this generation as it introduced jaw-dropping gravity puzzles, so it (and its improved successor) have my top spots.

My overall favorite would have to be super Mario bros 3 due to the fact that it was everything a 2d Mario game could hope to be. It was perfectly paced and introduced flight to Mario games as well as so many cool suits, both of which were Mario mainstays.

  6. I would have to say my favorite Mario game was and still is Super Mario Bros 3 for NES I remember wasting days playing that game. I always hated that you could never save your progress like in Super Mario World. I was always a fan of the levels where you where up in the sky jumping on floating platforms and the screen would push you so you could not just sit and think you had to move. I never was a Fan of water levels I always just stuck to the top and swim like there was no tomorrow till I hit the end. I still have an Original NES in the Box it came with from the store with the Gun and all Three Mario games (Mario 2 Epic Fail)

Mario Superstar Baseball. Because it’s the only Mario game that I dominate Earl in.

  8. I have to say my favourite Mario Bros game is Mario 64. It was the first game I ever played (I’ve been hooked ever since) and I learned my first swear word from that game. How, you may ask? Well, I was six, and I was playing Mario 64 with my father. Great family bonding time. Anyways, a few minutes into the first level, my father died, hit by a Goomba. He, being a grown man who was just pwned by a tiny mushroom monster, yelled out the “S” word. A few seconds later, the six year old me died and yelled out that same thing. My mother wasn’t too happy.

Anyways, ever since then, I’ve been addicted to Mario Bros. Happy 25th Mario & Luigi! ((:
