Poll Position: Favorite Ninja Turtle Character

With the launch of a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon last weekend, Nerds on the Rocks took it as a chance to go green.  Earlier in the week, we put up a review of the two-part premiere and this past Friday we did a very special episode of Nerds on the Rocks focused on the lean green, turtle machine. In addition to that though, we’ve also ran a poll over the course of the week for our audience to vote on their favorite Ninja Turtle. We’re here to share the results with you!

Surprisingly enough, no one voted for Venus. Usually when we run these polls, there will be a person or two who picks the worst options. Either to be an outlier or that rare breed who actually sees the world differently, but that wasn’t the case here it would seem.

Which leaves our 4 main Ninja Turtles to duke it out for top-billing.

Interestingly enough, Raph comes in at the bottom of the pile. Only grabbing a tiny fraction of the votes with 11%. I say this because he is generally considered one of the more popular Ninja Turtles. And has been the focus of most of the movies.

Speaking of which, Leo ties Raph with 11% of the votes. Which isn’t as shocking because as noble as Leonardo is, he was often looked at as a lame character. Mostly because he had to be the most level-headed of the group.

That leaves us with Donny and Mike as the Top 2 Ninja Turtles, but even that wasn’t really a close race. Don was popular enough to gain 30% of the votes, and to be a bit bitter, I imagine most of that comes from people who played the video games. Let’s be honest, most of the time we went with Don because he had the longest reach with his weapon! That and nerd is the new sexy!

Which of course leaves everyone’s favorite party dude as the number one Ninja Turtle, getting a scorching hot 48% of the votes! There’s not much to say because it was the right choice!

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen. Based on the NoTR polls the Ninja Turtles Rank!
