Well it is the most wonderful time of the year and what better way then to celebrate the Holiday Season then by having an old fashion BATTLE ROYALE beat down?! This time it will be Christmas Songs going into the ring to fight for each and everyone of your votes!
Each week in December we want you to decide on which Christmas song will emerge as your champion. Week 1 was a close battle between Christmas Lights by Coldplay vs Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town by Bruce Springsteen. Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town emerged as the winner! So Bruce will advance to the championship round.
This week will feature Carol of the Bells by The Trans Siberian Orchestra vs The Christmas Song by Nat Cole King.
Week 3 the losers will face off.
Finally Week 4 The two winners will fight to determine who is the Champion!
If you are used to the normal Carol of the Bells song, you are in for a treat. This version rocks the stockings off anyone who hears it! If you want to rock out Christmas Style, there is no better song then this!
In the Green Corner, a song that has been around since 1944, and maybe one of the most timeless Christmas Classics! We have the Nat Cole King version of The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire).
Nat Cole King’s version was recorded in 1961 and is generally regarded as the official version of this historic Christmas song. It is said that this song was written in the summer sitting by a camp fire which is why it begins with chestnuts roasting on it open fire. A lot of credit must be given to a song that is about Christmas that was actually written in the summer. Regardless this song will be around for generations!
Now it is up to you to determine who is the week 2 winner! Does a newer more rock and roll version beat out a classic? It is up to you! Go VOTE!
Be sure to tune in each week and vote!
